The crazy swedes have done it again. I've recieved my beta invitation from Xcerion, a company trying to build a viable "Cloud Internet Operating System". And I've been playing with it, and they've done a frankly amazing job. The idea is simply astounding, and although in beta, they degree to which they've already pulled it off is very impressive. It's already a perfectly usable operating system for internet browsing and light office work. And its entirely internet based, so you can just log off, bop onto another computer, and away you go. And of course, screenshots. Interesting note; the screenshots were uploaded to my gallery using XIOS/3. I tried to go the whole hog and write this article, but it appears the XIOS browsers doesn't have cookie support, which the login system on my site uses. Also, it doesn't run in Firefox. In the screenshots it might look like it does, but I cheated, its rendering on the Trident V IE Engine...inside Firefox. So it's still really using IE.
